Brazil's bag policy catches people on two things: the umbrella ban and the no-drinks rule. Everything that fails at the gate has to go back to your hotel — there's no storage.
25×25×25cm maximum
A cube 25cm on each side. Most small urban daypacks and sling bags are within this. Standard school bags (30L+) are not. Measure at home — not at the gate.
Outside drinks are not permitted. Bring an empty bottle and fill it at water points inside the circuit. Buying water inside is also an option.
Umbrellas are prohibited at Interlagos circuit entrances. They are confiscated on arrival — not stored, not tagged, gone. This happens to a significant number of visitors every year, including people who checked the bag limit but didn't read far enough to find the umbrella restriction.
The rule exists because the November weather at Interlagos routinely brings sudden heavy downpours, and umbrellas in crowded grandstands and walkways are a hazard to surrounding spectators.
Your rain option: a compact packable poncho that folds into your bag. This is it. There is no other rain protection permitted inside the circuit.
There are no bag drop or storage facilities at Interlagos. If your bag or its contents fail the gate check, you will be directed to return them to wherever you left your accommodation or stored your luggage. This means a trip back to the city on the metro and a return — losing significant time from your race day. Check everything at home.
