Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya enforces a 15-litre capacity limit at all entrances. That is roughly the size of a small school rucksack. Measure your bag before race day rather than finding out at the gate.
Official rules
15 litres is smaller than most hiking daypacks (typically 20L+) and smaller than a standard school bag. A compact city rucksack or tote bag is the right format. If your bag looks large, it will be measured or turned away.
No lockers at the circuit
The official FAQ confirms there are no lockers on site. If your bag is rejected at the gate, your options are: return it to your hotel, store it at a luggage storage service in Barcelona city centre before you travel, or leave it in your car. There is no on-site storage.
Luggage storage services near Barcelona Sants station (LuggageHero, Bounce) can hold your larger bag while you attend the circuit. Plan this in advance — not at the gate.
Aerosol sunscreen is prohibited. For a race in direct sun at 28–30°C, sunscreen is not optional — bring lotion or stick format and apply before leaving your accommodation. Carry the rest in your bag for midday reapplication.
