Miami Grand Prix — Miami
May 1-3 · Miami International Autodrome
Best for: A party weekend with a beach trip attached.
The catch: Early-May heat and humidity on a site with little shade, and clear-bag rules that differ by zone — check yours before you buy a bag.
Getting there: The circuit is on the Hard Rock Stadium campus in Miami Gardens, not near the beach. There is no rail link, so it is a shuttle, a long walk from the drop-offs or a rideshare.
Cheapest entry: Campus Pass, 2025 price ($430); 2026 not confirmed. Grandstands $285–$890.
United States Grand Prix — Austin
Oct 23-25 · Circuit of the Americas
Best for: A first F1 race. General admission is genuinely good here, and the weekend pass includes the concerts.
The catch: Getting home. Rideshare pickup is a long walk from the gates and the wait after the race runs to hours. Book the official shuttle.
Getting there: COTA is outside the city with no public transport. Official shuttles run from downtown Austin and the Travis County Expo Center; parking must be booked in advance.
Cheapest entry: 3-day Grounds Pass, $450 (2026). Grandstands $185–$1,200.
Las Vegas Grand Prix — Las Vegas
Nov 19-21 · Las Vegas Strip Circuit
Best for: The spectacle — a Saturday-night race down the Strip, with Sunday left free.
The catch: Cold and late. The race starts at 8pm PST on Saturday and race night runs 5–10°C. Hotel rates are the highest of the three.
Getting there: If you stay on the Strip you can walk to most of the circuit. Road closures change which casino entrances are open during the weekend.
Cheapest entry: 3-day Flamingo Zone GA, $492 (2026). Grandstands $285–$2,400.
Which one should you pick?
For a first race, Austin. You can see a lot of the circuit on a general admission ticket, the concerts are included, and the weekend is built for people who are there for the whole day. Pick Miami if the trip is as much about the city as the race, and Las Vegas if you want the most unusual F1 event on the calendar and can cope with a midnight finish in the cold. Whichever you choose, read the common first-race mistakes before you book transport.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many F1 races are there in the USA in 2026?
Three: the Miami Grand Prix (May 1-3), the United States Grand Prix in Austin (Oct 23-25) and the Las Vegas Grand Prix (Nov 19-21). No other country hosts more than two.
Which US F1 race is best for a first-timer?
Austin. General admission at COTA gives you the Turn 1 hill and the freedom to move around, the weekend pass includes the concerts, and late-October heat is drier than Miami's. Miami suits a party trip and Las Vegas the night-race spectacle, but both are harder first races.
Which US F1 race is the cheapest?
On tickets, the cheapest grandstand seats start at $185 in Austin, $285 in Miami and $285 in Las Vegas. Hotels decide the total: race-week rates average about $360 a night in Austin, $430 in Miami and $510 in Las Vegas.
Is there public transport to the US F1 races?
Not in a useful way. Austin and Miami both rely on shuttles, rideshare and pre-booked parking. Las Vegas is the exception: the circuit runs along the Strip, so from a Strip hotel you can walk.
