Hotel bookingMontreal fills fast during GP weekend. Book the Île-des-Sœurs or Old Montreal hotels 8–10 weeks out — race week sees 2–3× rate hikes.
Metro passSTM metro is the only sensible way in. Buy a multi-day pass before you arrive. Yellow Line → Jean-Drapeau station, then 15-min walk to circuit.
Weather layerMontreal in May/June can be 10–25°C. Expect one cold evening. Pack a light jacket you can stuff in your clear bag.
Bag policyNo clear-bag rule. Backpacks and soft coolers are allowed up to 45.7 × 25.4 × 22.8 cm (18 × 10 × 9 in), and grandstand ticket holders keep them under the seat. No glass.
