Getting to the Las Vegas Strip Circuit

The circuit is built on the Strip, Koval Lane, Sands Avenue and Harmon Avenue, so the roads you would normally drive are the track. Las Vegas Boulevard closes between Spring Mountain Road and Harmon during track running. For most people staying on or near the Strip, walking is the most reliable way to the gate: allow 20–30 minutes from central Strip hotels, more on race night.

Crossing the Strip means using the pedestrian footbridges, several of which are enclosed during the event. If your hotel is across the track from your grandstand, that adds time at both ends of every session.

Monorail and rideshare

  • Las Vegas Monorail: Runs 24/7 during race week along the east side of the Strip, from SAHARA in the north to MGM Grand in the south. Good for getting in; board at a quieter end station.
  • Rideshare: Pickups only at designated points, including Virgin Hotels and the Hughes Center. Never try to get a car from a gate.
  • Driving: Not recommended. Limited parking near SAHARA and MGM Grand, and roads may not reopen until 2am or later.

After the race, main Monorail stations queue for an hour or more. Stay for the post-race show while the crowd thins, then walk to your hotel or to a rideshare point.
