KEY FACTS
▸Highest altitude F1 circuit at 2,285m — engines produce less downforce and cooling is different
▸Mexican crowd is passionate and colourful — one of the warmest atmospheres in F1
▸Limited overtaking on track but racing is intense due to the altitude effect
▸Full cover essential — Mexico City October afternoons can bring dramatic storms
WHAT IT'S LIKE

Mexico City's pit straight is one of the longest in F1 and sits 2,285 metres above sea level: you'll notice the thinner air if you walk up the steps quickly. The covered roof is essential given October afternoons can switch from sunshine to dramatic storms in under 20 minutes. The Mexican crowd's celebration style: singing, dancing, colour: makes this the most joyful F1 grandstand atmosphere on the calendar.

FAN REVIEW

"The Mexican crowd sing La Bamba and dance between sessions. The most joyful F1 crowd I've encountered."

KEY FACTS
▸1.2km DRS straight feeds directly into T1 — the longest DRS run to a hairpin in F1
▸Primary overtaking point at Mexico — most passes happen at this corner
▸Mexican crowd here is among the noisiest on circuit — the altitude amplifies it
▸Cars brake from 330km/h to under 100km/h — one of F1's most violent stops
WHAT IT'S LIKE

After 1.2km of DRS-assisted straight the cars slam on the brakes for T1: one of the most violent deceleration zones in F1, from 330km/h down to under 100km/h. You watch the full approach, the decision about when to brake, and then everything that follows from drivers attacking the inside line. At Mexico City's altitude, the thin air means DRS is even more effective here than anywhere else, making the straight speed numbers genuinely alarming.

⚠️Full afternoon sun at high altitude. UV is significantly stronger at 2,285m — strong SPF essential.
FAN REVIEW

"The straight approaches and the crowd builds and builds until the braking point. Then it erupts."

KEY FACTS
▸The circuit passes through Foro Sol music venue — 80,000 capacity stadium section
▸The loudest single section of any F1 venue — echo effect is extraordinary
▸Seat inside a converted concert arena watching F1 — genuinely one-of-a-kind
▸Main overtaking point — final chicane before pit straight, cars fight for position here
WHAT IT'S LIKE

The circuit threads through the middle of Foro Sol: a functioning music concert venue with 80,000 capacity. The echo effect when cars pass is unlike anything else in F1: the sound bounces off the concrete bowl and doubles back at you from all directions. The final chicane before the main straight makes this a real overtaking zone too, so you get atmosphere and actual racing. Sections 200-250 are the best vantage point for both.

⚠️Queues to enter Foro Sol can be very long — arrive 2 hours before session start.
FAN REVIEW

"F1 cars inside a concert stadium. I turned to my friend and said "this can't be real". We were right there."
