📍 Start/Finish Straight
Lusail's pit straight is floodlit and lined with desert sand on both sides: the contrast between the modern circuit infrastructure and the surrounding landscape is immediate. Covered seats here are worth the premium: November evening temperatures can still reach 30°C at race start and the air-conditioned hospitality areas are right behind you. The race at this point on the calendar often has championship implications, which the atmosphere reflects.
"A floodlit F1 circuit in the desert at night. The combination shouldn't work. It absolutely does."

📍 Turn 1 Braking Zone
The straight delivers cars at DRS speed to T1 under floodlights: the braking zone is directly in front of you and the desert night sky frames the sequence above the circuit. Qatar's T1 is the most consistent overtaking point on the calendar in good racing conditions, and the floodlighting means photography here looks unlike anything else at a night race. No cover, so early evening 28°C temperatures make hydration essential throughout.
"Night race DRS pass right in front of me. Qatar doesn't get the credit it deserves."

📍 Turns 12–14 Technical Section
The back sector of Lusail's technical section under floodlights: cars working through a sequence of direction changes with the Gulf desert darkness beyond the circuit perimeter. No screens and no food vendors mean you need to be self-sufficient, but the budget price and often-available tickets make this the practical choice when T1 and main are sold out. The night race lighting creates a surreal atmosphere even in a quieter sector.
"Last-minute ticket for Qatar sorted here. Better than I expected — you see a lot of actual racing."
