Base townZeltweg and Knittelfeld sell out first. Look at Judenburg, Leoben, or Graz (60–90 min drive) — Graz has train connections and more restaurant options for the evenings.
Car or shuttleThe Red Bull Ring has limited public transit. Either rent a car from Graz/Vienna or pre-book an official shuttle from your base town — walk-up options on race day are thin.
Mountain layersStyria in late June can swing from 30°C to thunderstorm in an afternoon, and temperatures drop fast after 6pm. Pack a rain shell and a light fleece — the grandstands are exposed.
Bag policyThe Red Bull Ring enforces a strict A3 bag rule (30×42cm). Regular backpacks get turned away at security. Bring a small daypack you can check against the dimensions.
